Increased Russian Cargo Transportation Activity Observed in Mariupol Port – Andriuschenko

For two consecutive days, increased cargo transportation activity was observed in the port.

Petro Andriuschenko, an aide to the mayor of Mariupol, has reported increased cargo transportation activity in the port of the temporarily occupied Mariupol, the CFTS portal reports.

“For two consecutive days, we observed suspicious cargo transportation activities in the port. They involve tankers and covered trucks not intended for bulk cargo. It is suspected that the new storage facilities near the berths of the former ship repair yard are being used in military supply chains. We are monitoring and trying to establish the details,” he said.

As the CFTS portal reported, in February 2025, the Russian occupiers opened a full-fledged rail link from Rostov-on-Don to Mariupol, Volnovakha, and Donetsk. “This is bad news. Fuel for the front from Russia and the port of Mariupol now travels by rail. It is faster and safer than by road,” Andriuschenko said at the time.
