Ship Carrying Stolen Ukrainian Grain Rejected by Israel and Turkey Returning to Russia

One month ago, the Panormitis bulk carrier transported the grain from the occupied port of Berdiansk.

The Panormitis bulk carrier, carrying stolen Ukrainian grain, appears to be returning to Russia after unsuccessful attempts to unload the grain in Israel and Turkey.

This was reported by Kateryna Yaresko, a journalist with the Myrotvorets Center’s Sea Crime investigative project, according to the CFTS portal.

“The Panormitis (IMO 9445021) has entered the Dardanelles. We predict that the ship will return to Russia and unload the grain shipment in the Caucasus or Novorossiysk,” Yaresko said.

On 25 April 2026, the Panormitis was sailing to Haifa with grain from occupied Berdiansk.

An Israeli agricultural trader rejected the shipment, after which the vessel attempted to unload in Iskenderun, Turkey, also without success.

“The ship’s return to the Black Sea means that they will try to sell the compromised grain shipment to someone else,” Yaresko added.
