The Israeli Association of Agricultural Importers has approached Ukraine with a proposal to sign a memorandum.

Ukraine and Israel may sign a memorandum to prevent the import of grain stolen from temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories.

A diplomatic source disclosed this information to the RBC-Ukraine publication, the CFTS portal reported.

The source told the publication that the Israeli Association of Agricultural Importers proposed the memorandum.

Specifically, under the memorandum, Ukraine would verify that ships arriving in Israel are not carrying grain originating from Russian-occupied Ukrainian territories.

On 16 April, it was reported that the ABINSK ship had entered the port of Haifa with a cargo of stolen Ukrainian grain that Russia had taken from temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories.

Although Ukraine warned Israel about the grain’s origin, the ship was nevertheless allowed to unload.
