The Group of Seven (G7) leading industrialized countries are working on a scheme to combat the suspected theft of Ukraine’s grain from the occupied territories by using chemical identification of grain origin.
Britain’s Minister of State for Food, Farming, and Fisheries Mark Spencer stated this at an International Grains Council (IGC) conference, the CFTS portal reports, citing the Reuters news agency.
Spencer told the conference in London that Britain was leading on the scheme and that G7 countries were also working closely with Ukraine on the issue.
