Russian Occupiers Restore Railway Scales at Mariupol-Port Railway Station
Automated railway scales have been put into operation at the Mariupol-Port railway station in the Ukrainian city temporarily occupied by the Russians.
The occupation administration of the region announced this in a statement, the CFTS portal reports.
According to the statement, the automated weighing system allows in-motion and static weighing of various types of railcars.
“Equipping the Mariupol Port railway station with modern scales will ensure accurate, precise, and consistent tracking of cargo transported by rail from the port,” the occupation authorities said.
As previously reported, the Russians have opened a cargo sorting and transshipment station and restored large railway scales in Mariupol.
“This will allow them to increase the pace and transfer additional resources via the seaport,” Mariupol Mayor Vadym Boichenko said.
As the CFTS portal reported earlier, Russians have exported over 180,000 tons of stolen Ukrainian grain through the port of Mariupol in the past year.
