The Russians intend to use two ferries to transport goods from the occupied part of the Kherson region to Kerch, Yeysk, and other Russian ports.

The Russian occupiers plan to launch port infrastructure in the Kherson region in 2025.

The so-called governor of the Kherson region, collaborator Volodymyr Saldo, announced this in a statement, the CFTS portal reports, citing the publication PortNews.

“Priority is given to the ports of Henichesk, Skadovsk, and Khorly. Funds have already been budgeted for dredging operations and rehabilitation of berthing facilities at the port of Henichesk. At the same time, we are launching Khorly for sand extraction and shipment,” he said.

He added that captaincies will be established for all three ports in the Kherson region.

The occupiers also plan to deploy two ferries to transport goods from the Kherson region to Kerch, Yeysk, and other Russian ports.

As the CFTS previously reported, the Russians plan to increase cargo transshipment capacity in the occupied Skadovsk.
